SR JULIA MARY

Profile: Reading the lives of the saints led me to convert to Catholicism when I was 14, and they remain my good friends and a constant inspiration to me today.  I’ve been a Daughter of St. Paul for 35 years.  Although it feels extremely strange and surreal to be saying that, I’ve discovered that time is suspended in the convent.

Favorite book: Way too many to pick just one.  “Fully Human, Fully Divine” by Michael Casey for spiritual reading;” Markings” by Dag Hammarskjold for some of the best quotes I’ve ever come across;  “Redeeming Love” by Francine Rivers for a great read

Favorite author: Carlo Carretto and  Robert Barron

Favorite movie: Babette’s Feast

Favorite song: As bad as picking my favorite book.  Too many!  Although I’m pretty eclectic when it comes to music, I do have a preference for Mozart and Puccini Opera’s.

Status Update: Getting ready for a vocal lesson.
